Spanish media famously claimed that Bale's £85million transfer was in fact £76million, therefore not beating the £80million record set when Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009.
But there appeared to be no tension over who cost more at training today as the two met having returned from international action.
Bale could make his debut on Saturday as Real Madrid visit Villarreal.
Yet he's unlikely to play 90 minutes after only coming on as a substitute for Wales against Serbia last night and having missed nearly all of pre-season through injury.
