CHRISTIAN GOURCUFF ACHAGULIWA KUWA KOCHA MPYA WA ALGERIA

Another Ligue 1 man has left us.
Christian Gourcuff has left Lorient to manage the Algeria senior team after Halilhodzic refused to sign a new deal.
The Algerian Football Federation announced in a statement that Gourcuff had signed “a contract with objectives including the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 and 2017 and the 2018 World Cup.”

The 59-year old will be working alongside Yazid Mansouri, Algeria’s general manager, who is a former Algeria captain and guess what? Mansouri played under Gourcuff at Lorient so they’ll get along just fine.

Lorient is going to miss Gourcuff because he took them from the regional leagues and into the Ligue 1.
All the best on this new adventure, Mr. Gourcuff.
